The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has awarded Ali & Sons Contracting Company the main construction contract for the second phase of Uptown Dubai, a transformative project set to elevate the district’s status as a global business and lifestyle destination. The development will introduce two state-of-the-art commercial towers connected to the iconic Uptown Tower via a new link bridge, delivering 62,000 square metres of Grade A commercial, retail, and F&B space designed to meet surging demand from multinational firms.

Project Highlights: Sustainability & Innovation

The towers will adhere to LEED Gold standards, emphasizing energy efficiency, eco-friendly materials, and advanced technologies such as drone surveyingoff-site prefabrication, and 3D planning software to ensure precision and minimize environmental impact. This aligns with Dubai’s Net Zero 2050 Strategy and DMCC’s commitment to sustainable urban development.

Connectivity and Amenities

The new towers will integrate with Uptown Plaza, a vibrant public realm slated to host events, while the link bridge ensures seamless access to Uptown Tower’s existing amenities. The development also promises cutting-edge office spaces, premium dining, and retail outlets, positioning Uptown Dubai as a 24/7 urban ecosystem for professionals and residents.

Strategic Impact on Dubai’s Real Estate

Technological Edge

Ali & Sons will employ drone technology for real-time site monitoring and off-site prefabrication to accelerate construction timelines while maintaining stringent health and safety standards.

Looking Ahead

Slated for completion by 2027, the towers will solidify Uptown Dubai’s reputation as a global business nexus, complementing nearby projects like the Crypto Tower in Jumeirah Lakes Towers. With Dubai’s population projected to exceed 5.8 million by 2040, such developments are critical to sustaining the emirate’s growth as a magnet for international talent and capital.
